Very late to the party here! I have found Halloumi woo hoo (the new stew) I made beer battered Halloumi fish and chips and mushy peas….. that was me ‘hooked’ pardon the pun!
So what else can I do with this lovely stuff?
A fabulous versatile little love, that stays in the fridge like a soldier waiting to come on duty…..
So tonight my friends is juddyjo’ s sweet and sour Halloumi!!!
Let’s do this…..
Fry an onion…..
Add 3 ripe fresh tomatoes….
Add 2 green chillies…
Add soy sauce……
Add…. 3 pineapple rings of pineapple lol chopped up and the juice from the tin.
Add lots of generous sprinkles of sweet chilli sauce
Oil another pan and colour the halloumi that you have chopped into cubes on all sides.
Add to the sauce.
Serve with nice things….. I have chosen Tortilla wraps, cold shredded ice burg lettuce and spring onion thrown in for good measure!
And with the addition of a hot fiery Sriracha sauce to kill me off 🔥
